Our nature is two-fold in
its expression. Either we praise or we criticise. Either we appreciate
people whom we like or blame those who are not favourable to us in their
dealings. Most of our life passes in giving expression to these pleasant
or unpleasant experiences of ours in either praising or blaming others.
Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj advised all to divert this twofold nature towards God to sing the praises of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib and to condemn and criticise one's own imperfections, shortcomings, mistakes, sins; one should praise only Lord Guru Nanak and criticise and condemn only oneself. Third person should not come in. Self-analysis, self-introspection, self-appraisal reveals to us all our shortcomings and mistakes worth condemnation. |
