Prem Nem Di Banian Nu Bhan
ke Age Lang Janda Hai
It was spontaneous development of pure love of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib. Her
spontaneous devotion and yearning attracted instant response and acknowledgement.
Pure Love is neither bound nor it seeks any guidance from any spiritual
rules and regulations. Rather no restrictions, rules and regulations can
stand in the way of true love. The path of Prema, therefore, becomes unique
in this respect. It remains unbound and unfettered in its flight to the
Beloved. True Prayer means worship of the Lord, Satguru Nanak Sahib, as
Love. Loving remembrance travels faster than any earthly means of communication.
It travels faster than letter, telegram, telephone, radio waves even air
and lightning. Such Love transcends time and space. This Love is as pure
as God Himself. This Love transcends ages, it lasts through eternity.
Nature and character of this
Love is inexpressible, it defies description.
Satguru is Love Supreme in human form. He is the embodiment of Divine
Love in its entirety, in its pristine purity and glory. The only virtue
He measures in a sikh is the intensity of his true humility and yearning
love. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib proclaimed with a thunder that Divine
Love is the Supreme Royal Path for God Realisation.
It is only through pure undiluted love that Egoism completely melts away
in unending tears for the Beloved.
Complete surrender is an essential pre-requisite, pre-condition to enter
the arena of the spiritual field of Divine Love. And then opens the door,
the entrance to the Supreme Mansion of the Beloved Satguru.
Father invariably proclaimed in every congregation that Sri Guru Granth
Sahib was the Living Lord, that Sri Guru Nanak Sahib was realisable, attainable
from within the Divine Body of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, that the blessed
ones could perceive Him physically and commune with Him and that humility
and Prema Bhagti was the essential pre-requisite to attain Him. Utter
Humility and intense yearning and Love was his own direct and personal
experience. Communion with the Supreme Lord Sri Guru Nanak Sahib can be
established through Prema, through intense and earnest devotional love,
through humility, through strong impulse of rock-like faith in Him, through
His benign Grace and so on, but certainly not on the basis of dry intellectualism.
Sacred impulse/instinct of Divine Love is already rooted and embedded
in the heart. Unfortunately, this instinct is misdirected and mischannelled
to relatives, to sense pleasures, to name and fame, to material acquisitions
and possession, to perishable worldly objects.
Flow of the love current of a true lover is so strong that it knows no
hurdles, obstructions and barriers, and stops not till it has reached
the Beloved. It takes a mighty leap.
